Yes - your monitor can be shut off, as can your speakers at any time. They just read a signal coming out of your computer and make pictures/sounds - no effect back to the computer.
Recently recovered my computer Norton is pre-programmed on computer has expired cannot delete it's not on add/remove programmes have other anti-virus software but it won't work with Norton still installed. Any Ideas?

You can get rid of it in 2 ways.

go to control panel click add or remove programs.
I down loaded the Pegasus Email Client to my machine and noticed immediately that pop-up ads begun shorty after I opened my IE browser, so I uninstalled this crappy pegasus and still had the same problem. I scanned my system with my ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE(COMPUTER ASSOSISTES) and it did not even find this problem.
Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue with pop-ups as the result of download this expletive , pegasus?
I doubt that Pegasus is responsible for popups, and suspect it's a coincidence. Look for the popup blocker setting in IE, or do a search for popup blockers - I'm sure that there's a free one out there.
Ok I play halo 1 on my computer a lot but i got a new wireless router and now it wont let me host any games. If i switch back to my old one which is just a modem with output for 1 computer it will let me host, but i need the wireless router cuz there are more computers in the house, but it wont let me host. i think its cuz theres some security on the router that is stopping me. so i need to turn it off. i have a windows firewall and stuff on my computer along with my own anti virus software and i have made sure that they make excetpions for halo, its only when i hook up the router that i have problems, so how do i fix it. help me out im stressing out here.

I do not know your router interface but these ports need to be un-blocked to play:
By default, Halo connects to the Internet through the following ports: 鈥?80 (Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)) 鈥?Auto-update looks for and downloads updates through this port.
鈥?2302 (User Datagram Protocol (UDP)) - Game host listens on this port.
鈥?2303 (UDP) - Game client connects to host through this port.

By unblocked, he means that you need to enable those ports in the port forwarding section of your router interface, which can likely be accessed by typing in your gateway ip address into your web browser's address bar.
The thing is I want to download a free anti virus software without paying. How am I going to pay for it? I'm still a student,mind you.

It will not let me change it either. When I click on where it says to click here it takes me to a site to buy something.
if you don't have an anti spyware program, I would ignore it. If you reboot and it still comes up, I would go to this link and download. It was recommended by my cable company and I use it myself:

I need to boot my pc in safe mode to uninstall an anti virus software because it is slowing my pc down so much i cant do it in normal mode. I tried pressing F8 but that just takes me into boot menu asking what drive I want to boot first am i pressing the wrong button?
That is the correct procedure. Select to boot from the usual drive and then it will take you to an option to boot in safe mode.
look in windows help.
After pressing F8, when the white menu comes up, use the arrow keys to go up to Safe Mode, then press Enter. You may be taking the wrong option.

F8 is the right button, you may jsut be pushing it to soon or too late.
