i m using avira anti virus.i wanna install a software which is detected as virus.how can i install or change the settings such dat it is ignored by antivirus.also wen i execute the program it must be ignored by antivirus

If you are certain that the software is safe to use (this is actually quite a common issue with anti-virus software), you should be able to add it to an exceptions list.

Within the settings or preferences of most anti-virus software you will find an option to add 'Exceptions'. These are files or programs that the anti-virus product will ignore.

However, you must keep a very close check on the exceptions list to ensure that only software that should be in there is. Some viri put themselves into the exceptions lists of popular anti-virus software in order to avoid detection - so check your exceptions list before you scan your computer for a virus, and at least once every 2-4 weeks.

You should be able to find instructions on the exceptions list for your particular anti-virus product in its Help pages.

Also, remember that some Windows system files are added to exceptions lists in many anti-virus packages by default. Though it will not hurt to remove these from the exceptions list and actually scan them.
