My computer is brand new, I bought it in November. I do admit that we do download a lot but we have 2 different anti-virus softwares installed on the computer. In January, when we shut it down, the computer would say "shutting down" but it would stay like that for 5 - 10 minutes %26 then a blue screen pops up saying there was an error. It does that every now %26 then but it's brand new %26 shouldn't be doing that. I'm guessing I have a warranty %26 I bought it from Best Buy, should I take it in %26 will they charge me?
My computer doesn't always shut down all the way?panda
It has been my experience that when a computer takes too long to boot or shut down, it is because a service is hanging somewhere. Look at your event logs. One option is to clear all your event logs and then reboot your system, anything that hangs should be dumped into the log file. To get to event viewer....right click on my computer and click on Manage. In the list in the left window pane you should see event viewer. (this is also the way you can bring up the services)

If you have a warranty on it at Best Buy you should take back to Best Buy but, I do not know if they will charge you fro it or not
for the anti-virus, It's best to have only one running so that these two programs don't clash with one another. This alone may be causing the stop error.
