I also have Mcafee diskeeper 10. I do periodic manual disk defragmentation although it has been set to auto pilot. Still freezing on me frequently. Does Mac users have this problem? My indicators show that I am fully protected by McAfee's anti virus program. What is the best software to install so that it can run on "real" autopilot and I can just forget about dealing with this all the time? Thanks a million !

I dont know if a registry cleaner would solve the problem or not, but here is a free one you can try

1) Perfaps spyware. Get the Yahoo! Toolbar (free). It has a good anti-spyware. Windows Defender (free also) is the most thorough and comprehensive I've seen though.
2) Maybe there are other problems. Get Norton Utilities. That's VERY good.
3) Maybe you lack RAM memory.
well for the virus protection there is a free program called AVG not sure of the website to get it since my fiance put it on my computer but it's wonderful..Just type in free AVG software or something like that , and another great thing to clear up odds and ends is registry machanic and again don't have the addy for it lol fiance is the computer genius but if you want you can email me and i can get the sites for you from him :)
I use System Mechanic Professional and have had no problems. It has an auto pilot function, also a meter to show system health. I has a good disk defragmenter. It's about $40. I have used other system suites over the years, but not McAfee's since I had constant problems with their anti virus awhile ago. I won't touch Norton's stuff since it was also a problem child. Best of luck.
